Types of membership

Veteran Membership

To become a ‘Veteran Member,’ you must have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and verify your service with ID.me during the FVC membership application process or submit another form of verification of service (DD Form 214, Certificate of Discharge, Service Record, or if currently serving, Letter from Command).

Associate Membership

‘Associate Members’ are non-veteran individuals, veterans with unverified service history, corporations, partnerships and other entities that wish to show their support for farmer veterans. Note: only ‘Veteran Members’ are eligible for FVC programs and services.

Farmer Veteran Coalition of Illinois

Our chapter welcomes all individuals who are veterans, including individuals who are...

  1. currently farming in Illinois

  2. interested in pursuing a career in agriculture in Illinois

  3. considering farming or growing crops in Illinois, but don't know where to start

We are committed to providing the resources and support needed to successfully pursue farming, including supporting mentoring and networking opportunities with other Illinois farmer veterans.

Joining FVC is completely free and is open to both veterans and non-veterans. Military veterans who verify their service during the application process may apply to become a ‘Veteran Member,’ while non-veterans, and other supporters, may apply to become an ‘Associate Member.’

As a Veteran Member of FVC, you are eligible for our programs and services and you gain access to exclusive discounts from farm equipment suppliers and agricultural service providers. Additionally, Veteran Members are placed on our priority emailing list and are presented with various opportunities as they become available.
